Child Neuropsychiatry Center is an institution that provides specialized care for children with the consequences of perinatal afflictions of the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system damages, neuro-orthopedic pathology, cerebral vascular pathology, hearing, speech pathology and other neuropsychiatric disorders.
The institution was founded in 1937, but the revival of the hospital was made possible by the decision of Boris Zubitsky, a member of the Russian State Duma, to turn the sanatorium into a modern medical facility in 2006. The construction and state-of-the-art equipment of the new building has given the hospital a new lease of life. The founders of the Zubitsky Charity Foundation allocated 300 million rubles to the project.
This is a unique project for Tula region. The Clinical Diagnostic Center, the only one in Tula region, accepts young patients suffering from cerebral palsy from birth. Every year, about 5,000 children, 40% of whom are children with disabilities, receive treatment on a day and round-the-clock basis. The center’s outpatient clinic has a capacity of 165 visits per shift, while the day hospital has a capacity of 70 beds and the round-the-clock hospital has a capacity of 100.
