Kombinat KMAruda
Kombinat KMAruda is Russia's largest underground iron ore mining enterprise. The plant develops ores from the Korobkovskoye deposit of the Kursk Magnetic Anomaly (KMA), the largest iron ore deposit in the world.
The enterprise is the earliest company in the development of KMA. In 2021, KMAruda celebrated its 90th anniversary since the launch of the Gubkin mine;
KMAruda processes the mined ore into iron ore concentrate and delievers it to Tulachermet. The company annually produces about 2.2 million tons of iron-ore concentrate.
In order to provide the needs of the Russian metallurgy in high-quality raw materials, KMAruda plans to increase its production capacity. The increase in production implies expansion of the Gubkin mine and development of enrichment facilities.
