Industrial Metallurgical Holding is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted in 2015 by the UN General Assembly.
We understand that our activities have a significant impact on various aspects of the environment and society. The company has therefore identified indicators to help us achieve these goals.
In 2021, we conducted a survey among our stakeholders to identify the Sustainable Development Goals that are most relevant to our company.
IMH's contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals
Goal 1. Good health and well-being
Ensure universal health coverage, including financial risk protection, access to quality essential health services and access to safe, effective, quality and affordable essential medicines and vaccines for all
Goal 2. Quality education
Significantly increase the number of young people and adults with in-demand skills, including vocational and technical skills, for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship
Goal 3. Gender equality
Eliminate all forms of discrimination against all women. Ensure women's full and meaningful participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making
Goal 4. Clean water and sanitation
Improve water quality by reducing pollution, eliminating waste discharges and minimizing releases of hazardous chemicals and materials, reducing the proportion of untreated wastewater and significantly increasing recycling and safe reuse of wastewater
Protect and restore water-related ecosystems, including mountains, forests, wetlands, rivers, aquifers and lakes
Goal 5. Decent work and economic growth
Maintain economic growth per capita according to national circumstances
Achieve increased economic productivity through diversification, technological upgrading and innovations, including by focusing on high-value adding and labor-intensive sectors
Promote development-oriented policies that facilitate productive activities, creation of decent work opportunities, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovations
Goal 6. Industrialisation, innovation and infrastructure
Increase research and technological capacity in industrial sectors in all countries, especially developing countries, including by stimulating innovation and significantly increasing the number of R&D personnel per 1 million people
Goal 7. Responsible production and consumption
Achieve rational development and efficient utilization of natural resources
Substantially reduce waste through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse measures
Goal 8. Combating climate change
Integrate response to climate change into policies, strategies and planning
Improve education, information dissemination and the ability of people and institutions to mitigate, adapt to and prevent climate change
